ReplyDeleteUniversity is about learning. Correction: It used to be about learning. But that was in the past, WAY in the past.
Today, we live in a 'money is everything world'. This society has taught us to value nothing else except money, or the direct pursuit of money. Absract thought? Inquiry into new territory? Learning about the past? Where is the green in that? Just give me my f-in degree so I can become a slave to the system and get stuff; all my glorious stuff.
